About our Guest Expert: Allison Gaea Jucha, of Yes!Coaching Before launching Yes!Coaching, Allison Jucha honed her expertise by owning/running five businesses over the past twenty years: from a theatrical company in New York City, to a Kansas City cafe, to a parenting education firm in Alaska and New York. She's worked with government agencies like the NYC District Attorney's office and Alaska's Department of Education, plus high-tech types like Sun, Apple and Aladdin, as well as parent groups and hospitals. So, she's no stranger about how businesses and people work. As a single mother of two, Allison understands firsthand the difficulties of juggling work and life. Now a self-avowed "computer nut," Allison loves Celtic music, quilting and winter. She pictures her guardian angel wearing sneakers, living in a treehouse, and surfing the Web on a Powerbook.
About Coaching
Yes!Coaching is particularly suited for people who do too much... people like working parents, technology professionals, small business owners, health care providers, women executives and men in career transition... people like you. Allison Gaea Jucha's specialty is coaching people who want to experience their lives fully in work, family, personal time, and relationships; to feel as important as the roles by which they are identified. Allison's Answers With the advent of the computer, the human element can hardly keep up... How do you keep motivated and up when the group you're supposed to be supporting is filled with excuses? I'm looking for a small support/network group to help me achieve my goals. Does anyone know how to find this type of group? I just need a way to not mind rejection.... How do employers feel about employees who have elderly and child care issues? I am looking for ways to catch which one of three employees is stealing from our company... I have too much work and have not been able to find good employees... I'll be retiring in two years and have decided that a home-based business will be my next endeavor.... Any suggestions would be helpful. I am looking for ideas for a single mother who wants to start her own business.... I'm looking to work at home, but how do you find people to work for, or how do you advertise your business and your skills? HELP!! Does anyone have any good ideas to get my home office (and me) organized?! I'm feeling overwhelmed!... How do you prioritize it all?!? I'm going off in too many directions... I started working in my father's 25-year-old service-industry business about 4 years ago.... If we could just get past our current stagnancy... we would be able to jump-start our growth and take advantage of the tremendous opportunities in our industry. I don't know where to turn for advice..... I'm having a great deal of trouble "marketing" myself.... If there's info out there to help biz beginners, who apparently learned the "It's not nice to brag" rule too well, I'd love to read something like that. I'm wondering how many services to offer and how to market myself beyond the classifieds and cold calls.... What do you believe are important qualities of entrepreneurs? I've been an administrative assistant for over 15 years, and I'd like to know if I can contract my services myself as opposed to going through a temporary employment agency.
